We’ve come up with some super fun ideas for your little guy or gal to accessorize for school! We can’t wait to see what you think!!
1. Personal Support Oil Roller Holder or Hand Sanitizer Holder
It's no mystery that kids love routine - they thrive off of it! If you’ve gotten into the routine of regularly using your favorite supportive oils, our amazing new Silicone Roller Holders are just the thing for your little student(s)!
Soft and protective, the amazing silicone sleeve holds your custom mix roller in place and at the ready for when your kiddo decides they want a little system support. Not an oily person (*giggle*)? No problem! This sleeve also holds a small plastic bottle for your favorite hand sanitizer! We found the bottles (here) on Amazon worked perfectly for refilling with your own sanitizer.
And let's be honest, are you ever TOO big for an adorable, durable pendant?? We had to accessorize our mermaid themed backpack by adding a beautiful mermaid silicone pendant (we no longer carry this item in our store) which matched best by the oil roller holder. Just the cutest!
2. Backpack Zipper Pull Ring
There are so many adorable zipper pull concepts out there! We loved the idea of a circular ring with some initials! Great for recognition, but not a full name for privacy & safety. The perfect balance, we think ;)
3. Sunglasses with Silicone Beaded Lanyard
We couldn’t help ourselves!! We had a lightbulb moment after seeing our fashionable grandma’s beaded sunglasses strand and KNEW we had to make one for our equally fashionable tiny diva!! It’s in the genes ;)
This is a great way to keep those little sunglasses from getting lost. Practical AND Pretty - a perfect combination in our books! See our DIY TUTORIAL for the sunglasses strand here!
4. Whistle Zipper Pull
On a recent trip up north, our little ones all were given a whistle to keep on their neck just in case they wandered off or got lost. We loved knowing they had an extra layer of self-safety with them, and it got us thinking about other ways the idea could be used! We decided to pair the whistle with our new carabiner clip on the backpack - there’s no worry about that whistle falling off!
5. Shoelace Bling
Time to jazz up those shiny new school shoes!! Who doesn’t love a cute little shoe lace embellishment? We’ve blinged up shoes before, and it's always adorable to see the combinations you can come up with!
With some convincing, we managed to get a few of our favorite accent beads onto these aaamazing shoes. The best part about silicone beads is that they are so durable. These beads will keep their shape and color long after the shoes need replacing ;)
Want to know how we got the beads on these thick laces? It's easier than you think! Check out our DIY Tutorial here!
6. Umbrella Name Tag
Every year we go through this - does your family too? You buy everyone new umbrellas. You have the talk about how we need to keep our umbrellas safe, how mommy doesn’t want to replace all the umbrellas (but you buy cheap ones because you already know what’s going to happen). And what happens? One by one, slowly by the end of the year, they are all lost or damaged.
Here are a couple of ideas to minimize the loss :)!
- Don’t buy a black umbrella! Pick a color that your child will recognize and that other people will recognize as your child's.
- A name tag. There’s not too many places that umbrella can go at school if it's got your kid's name on it! We made a cute, round tag that fits perfectly between the handle and the umbrella! Durable, waterproof, functional.
7. Pencil Case Zipper Pull
This zipper pull can easily attach to anything, and we especially wanted to make sure this cute mermaid case didn’t get lost at school. It’s a breeze to make and won’t come off.
No worries about losing the case! The contents?? Well…we can’t promise anything else ;)
We hope these back-to-school ideas bring some excitement and joy into the whole idea of your kids returning to school-- even if our classrooms might look very different than before!
After months of disappointment and isolation for the kids, we think this bright and glittery blogpost will spark some extra joy and longing for upcoming school days!
