Hockey Mom Beadable Bar Keychain Tutorial

Show off your hockey spirit with this adorable diy silicone bead hockey-themed keychain! Whether you’re cheering in the stands or managing the carpool, this keychain is the perfect way to keep your keys (or lanyard) close while celebrating your favorite player on the ice. 💙✨

Supplies Needed:

Follow Beadable Bar instructions currently on the tutorial website, along with the instructions below for the hockey Zipper Pull.

Step 1: Take a 60” length of 1.5” Nylon Cord. Fold in half, and pull the looped end through the chain on the beadable bar.

Step 2: Take a lighter to lightly fuse the ends to prevent fraying. Thread the ends through a crafting needle.

Step 3: Start stringing your beads in your desired order. In this example, we used acrylic bead spacers with wider holes to accommodate the two strands and spelled out 'HOCKEY' using our silicone alphabet beads.

Step 4: Finish by tying the ends into a secure knot. Trim any excess string, then use a lighter to carefully fuse the knot and the trimmed ends. This will secure the knot and prevent the ends from fraying.
