Replacing Your Ink

Should your ink run dry, no need to throw away your high quality pen! We have refills available for purchase and they’re a breeze to replace!

Refillable Ink - Beadable Pen - Cara & Co

1. On the writing end of your pen, hold the metal middle section (this part twists your pen tip in and out).

2. Pull on the tapered side near the tip and your two pieces should come apart. No need to twist, just pull!

Refilling Your Pen - Cara & Co

3. Holding your tapered pen tip end, twist the small black end opposite the writing tip. This will release the ink & pen tip.

Helpful tip: If your pen tip is out in the writing position, it will be hard to grab the black twisting end to your ink refill. Make sure that you have your pen tip retracted so that the black twisting end sticks out enough for you to grab.

Pen Refill Tips - Cara & Co

4. Slide your new refill into the pen end and twist it in to secure. Push your writing end back into the main body of your pen.

Hi Mari!
Thank you for your question! We are more than happy to provide that information for you!
We used x2 Abacus 14mm in Mint, x2 Abacus 19mm in Turquoise and x1 Daisy Bead in White. And we used our Metal Beadable Pen in Metallic White.
Happy crafting! Xo

Hi Cara! I’d like to make the exact mint pen in your “How to” for beadable pens but can you please tell me what size beads & spacers (abacus right?) you used? Thank you!

Mari

Hi Mandy!
If you use two 20mm beads on a metal beadable pen, you can use a 15mm bead at the top! And with those three beads you can use either two of our small gemstone bead spacers or one of our (soon to be restocked) large gemstone bead spacers! I hope this answers your question! Happy crafting! Xo

If I used 2 20mm on a pen , which size smaller bead at the top do you suggest ? And what size spacers please?

Mandy
