Does anyone else have gift wrapping themes every holiday season? Just us? :P
Maybe you’re the person who actively wraps presents as you purchase them (applause to YOU!), or maybe you’re the person who is wrapping gifts feverishly into the wee hours on Christmas Eve Eve.
Or even Christmas Eve if you’re being honest ;) (You do you!)
Maybe you’re the person who buys the Costco rolls of wrapping paper that last yeeeaaarrss and everyone knows which gifts are yours because of it (thrifty mama, we salute you!).
Regardless of what kind of gift wrapper you are, we can all appreciate a beautiful wrapping job.
We L O V E a good wrapping theme, and we especially love creativity and thoughtfulness when it comes to wrapping gifts.
We challenged ourselves to try to come up with a couple fun DIY craft ways to make your gifts stand out, and make your gift tags something more than a piece of paper.
This year we are into the green tones, so after a walk through our local craft store, we loved how the green paired with the blush tones. Christmas wrapping paper theme for 2020? Found! To make it even more unique we opted for some gold and blush leopard print wrapping paper to pair with everything.
Leather Keyring Accents
This one was a no-brainer that we borrowed from our Thanksgiving Tablescapes Blog. How cute and how easy! Receiving a leather keyring that has your name written on it is such a fun idea, and we’re sure that keyring will be saved and used.
Gifts With Your Gifts
There are so many beautiful teethers available, and sometimes it's nice to use the especially beautiful ones for an extra little something something for your little loved one. Using a flower teether seemed like the perfect finishing touch to our little gift box. Wouldn’t this be such a cute gift addition to a handmade lanyard or soother clip?
Maybe you like a little more of a simplistic look? Our smooth and beautiful Hexagonal Wood Teethers make such an elegant minimalistic looking gift! We looped some ribbon around each side and secured on the back of our box! Easy peasy! ...lemon squeezy! (the things your kids engrain in you...)
Homemade Bows & Accents
Instead of buying bows this year, try making your own! They’re sooo simple to do, and there's hundreds of examples and tutorials out there! We made ours by wrapping ribbon around our hand 3 times and tying it in the middle with a little piece of twisted wire. We strung on a couple cute beads and used some rounded pliers to loop the wire and secure them. Hot glue your ribbon to your gift and you’re done! How cute!
Floral Accents
How sweeeeet!! We were playing with our adorable Crochet Beads and loved the look of Christmas holly. Two white crochet beads accompanied by one pink changed up the traditional look of this holly, and when we added three birch beads, we KNEW we loved this! You can’t glue silicone beads (of course!), but you can string them onto a piece of wire like we did, or even string them onto cording with knots to hold them together!
Keepsake Name Tag
This one takes a little more effort, but for Christmas it's always worth the effort ;) We took our adorable Rocking Horse Wood Pendant, and paired it with a couple Beech Wood Beads and our Alphabet Beach Wood Beads! Perfect for the newest little baby in the family, or your nephew/neice who juuust started teething! We love how personal this toy add-on is!
Name Tags
Of course, we can’t forget how simple it is to string on some Silicone Alphabet Beads for a minimalist name tag! It's so easy to string a couple beads and knots onto cording!
Making name gift tags can be sooo easy and such a fun way to make your gifts a bit more unique. From Alphabet letters, to string & bead accents, to making a small wood toy as a keepsake - your options are endless!
We love how our gifts came out! Are you planning on a wrapping paper theme this year? We would love to see how you accent your beautiful wrapping with your creative name tag ideas!
