The kids are bubbling over with excitement for the beginning of school! No, actually!! They’re so happy to be going back and we’re right there with them! Bring on school!!

Back to school prep - labelling ideas using silicone craft supplies

We’re starting to pull together our school bags and supplies from the lists the school has sent out! We’ve noticed that more and more personal items need to be labelled - from backpacks and pencil cases to water bottles!

Hopefully more labels mean less lost and found donations ;)

Even if your child is beyond teething years, our large pendants and teethers make the BEST zipper pulls that won’t wear out, discolour or break. Silicone is such an amazing product and our shop is full to the brim of fun ideas! Our little man loves him some video games, so we knew this gameboy teether would be the perfect backpack addition.

Water Bottles are always a challenge to label. If you write on them, eventually their names will rub off, especially with all the extra post-covid sanitizing we’ve all been doing! Sticker labels peel and come off. But a silicone bead name tag? That’s not going anywhere. The water bottle will wear out before the tag does!

If your child has been spending more time on a screen at home (hello, school at home this past year!) or will be doing more computer activities in the classroom, consider finding your child some blue light glasses!

They’ve become so easy to find, and if you’ve ever bought yourself a pair, you’ll understand how much of a help they can be! There’s so many easy options on Amazon, and so many fun colors!

While you’re at it, you can make a quick and easy lanyard to hold their glasses when they’re not being used!

Pencil case holders are always a weak spot for us - they’re so cute and we love stuffing them full of brand new supplies!

If you’re looking for a new way to add fun to your kids new school shoes, then a few small beads on their laces is sure to add a smile to their faces! It couldn’t be easier! (we used mini star beads for ours).

Making sure you use laces with plastic ends, simply push your beads on to the end. It might be a bit of a squeeze but they should go!

Using a needle nose plier, grab the plastic end poking through your bead and pull it all the way through.

Slide the bead to the spot you want it, and continue lacing your shoes!
